ITE—A Community of Transportation Professionals (ITE) works to improve mobility and safety for all transportation system users, helping to build smart and livable communities.
Founded in 1930, ITE is a volunteer-driven association of more than 18,000 engineers, planners, consultants, educators, researchers, technologists, and students working in more than 78 countries.
ITE McMaster University Student Chapter (ITE McMaster) is a student community who are interested in exploring or aspiring to be future transportation professionals. We are affiliated with the ITE Hamilton Section and ITE Canada District. We provide opportunities for learning and networking, including connection to the local, regional, national, and international community of transportation professionals.
Since ITE McMaster’s establishment in 2016, the student chapter aims to promote the Transportation Engineering profession to all students and faculty in McMaster University. The chapter works to connect students with industry professionals through liaison events formed by the chapter. ITE McMaster helps provide the resources and technical skills to the membership through interactive workshops hosted by the chapter.
