On behalf of the Future Transportation Leaders Fund, ITE Canada offers several annual scholarships and awards for ITE Student Members enrolled in transportation programs at accredited Canadian universities or colleges and are Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents. ITE membership is free for full-time undergraduate and graduate students. Join here.

Dr. Michel Van Aerde Memorial Transportation Scholarship

  • $3,000
  • For students in a doctorate-level program

John Vardon Memorial Transportation Scholarship

  • $3,000
  • For students in a master’s-level program

ITE Canada Undergraduate Scholarship

  • $3,000
  • For an undergraduate student in planning, geography, or engineering

John Morrall Innovation in Transportation Scholarship

  • $2,000
  • For students in a thesis-based master’s- or doctorate-level program

ITE Canada/WATT Consulting Group “Transportation in a Sustainable World” Student Award

  • $1,000
  • Awarded based on the quality and appreciation of interdisciplinary collaboration in a paper
  • Sponsored by WATT Consulting Group

Student Paper Competition

  • $1,500
  • Awarded based on a paper addressing transportation engineering
  • Sponsored by Stantec

Student Presentation Competition

  • Participate in your local ITE Section competition and you could be chosen to attend the ITE Canada Annual Conference
