Transportation Project Manager – VMC (18-mth contract)

Responsible for:
The Transportation Project Manager is the senior lead responsible for review of Complex Development applications within the City of Vaughan’s downtown core, the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC) as well as other intensification areas. This role collaborates with the team on projects and provides expertise to transportation planning and engineering work in the area of knowledge. In addition, the Transportation Project Manager will directly review and coordinate the more complex, high priority projects. The Transportation Project Manager will seek to provide continuous improvement and greater efficiencies within the process used on an ongoing basis. As a subject matter expert, works in collaboration and partners with others as needed to review and negotiate transportation matters. The Transportation Project Manager will provide input to development agreements to ensure transportation related requirements are accurately and appropriately represented/addressed.
This role also involves providing project management services and undertaking of major transportation studies, engineering feasibility studies, environmental assessments, capital projects and traffic operational analysis including identification, evaluation and assessment of proposed infrastructure improvements to support the transportation system within the VMC and other intensification areas.
