ITE Southwestern Ontario Section – A community of transportation professionals, holds a number of meetings and events every year throughout Southwestern Ontario. These include technical presentations, dinners and also technical tours at various locations in Southwestern Ontario. Students, ITE members and other transportation sector staff attend our events to obtain knowledge and also to be able to network/connect with other attendees.
The Southwestern Ontario Section has hosted the ITE Canada Annual Conference twice, with the 1994 conference being held in Windsor and the 2014 conference in the Region of Waterloo.
In 2024, the Southwestern Ontario Section was awarded the Section Momentum Award for the first time.
In 2009, the Southwestern Ontario Section co-hosted the Annual Student Presentation Competition and Job Fair.
The University of Waterloo Student Chapter has been awarded the Outstanding Student Chapter Award in 2003, 2009 and 2024 and was awarded the Student Chapter Momentum Award in 2023.
